SPROUT Coach

What the hedge is coaching?
When people hear the word “coaching”, they used to think of sports and trainers. Generally, coaching is helping a human to unlock their personal potential, this can be in one-to-one sessions (like Tennis players) or group sessions (like a Volleyball team). Coaching is a form of growth and development of an individual (The coachee) with the help of an experienced person (the coach) to achieve a personal or professional goal or outcome. Every Coach/ee is different! Therefore, the benefits of coaching can equally differ from person to person. The list of benefits is so long, but just to give you an idea, coaching can positively impact your well-being, (work) performance, self-confidence and self-awareness, relationships, career, connection to your consciousness, communication and, most importantly, your mental health (Institute of Coaching, 2022).
This can be achieved by me helping you to:
• effectively communicate better
• become aware of your responsibilities to yourself
• increase your life and relationship satisfaction
• achieve your personal and professional goals
• develop your own growth plan which you can easily follow
You might or might not have heard of the term positive psychology and wondered how it differs from psychology as most people (who do not work in this area) know it.

Positive psychology has been described as the “scientific study of what makes life most worth living” (Peterson, 2008). Positive psychologists spend most of their time studying human thoughts, behaviours and feelings just like clinical psychologists, but they focus on a different and more positive area.
To put it simply: Clinical psychologists are problem-solvers who help people with mental Health who may require therapy (fix and repair a weakness or make it more manageable), whereas positive psychologists are assistants who support people with their mental wealth (build and grow strengths). We "wait" for clinical psychologists to elevate people who are struggling to reach 0 and then we help these people to become even greater than they already are.
Positive psychologists do that by studying optimism, happiness, motivation, life satisfaction and compassion. As you can tell by now, this approach focuses on the positive side of life: Traits and states (for example, gratitude and optimism) and experiences (for example, inspiration and happiness). Our aim is to guide you in your learning journey, help you flourish, create flow experiences, grow into a better version of yourself, be the best Human that you can be, and live your very best life!
What about positive psychology?

How do I know if coaching is for me?
If you ever come across a coach who charges you for the very first session which we call "Chemistry Session" then Stay away as far as you can! I do not think it is fair to charge someone to get to you know you during the first 30 minutes. It is kinda like going on a date but your date tells you straight away that they will make you Pay for the coffee... Not a great approach if you ask me! With me, you definitely get the initial chemistry session for free. During the chemistry session, we will talk about You, your Expectations and Goals, see if we want to Work Together, check if we feel Comfortable with each other and discuss your potential Coaching Journey including the most suitable Model and timeframe for you. This is also a great time and space to Ask Any Questions that you may have for me - the more the better!
In the past, coachees have come to me with the following obstacles:
+ indecisiveness or overthinking (cannot make their mind up)
+ being stuck in a situation and need help (Unsure what to do)
+ contemplating a career change (not sure how)
+ wanting to improve themselves (no idea how to go about it)
+ You wish to live a more balanced life (Not a clue where to start)

If that sounds like you, or you have another topic to discuss, feel free to Branch out to me :)
